Acklings playground, Long Wittenham

Acklings playground, Long Wittenham

Date of Adventure: 24 Aug, 2025

I love parks like this – hidden away down the bottom of a lane…luckily we had our park spies to tell us all about it.

This one is a bit different and includes challenging matrix style play equipment, mini obstacle course, bike pump track, hammock, zip line, sitting logs under shade, basketball court and some really lovely views. When we went it wasn’t quite finished yet but it’s a glorious park nonetheless, the 100k investment has been well spent!

This is just beyond the Pendon Museum – worth a visit in itself.
