Chinnor Hill Nature Reserve

Chinnor Hill Nature Reserve

Date of Adventure: 22 Jul, 2023

The panoramic views from Chinnor Hill over Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire are stunning and pictures simply cannot do it justice. In fact the views are so mesmerising that children are happy to sit still and gaze out over it for a few minutes – that’s saying something!

This site is more than just the views (although worth going for that alone), it’s 28 hectares are full of woodlands, bridleways and paths popular with horse riders, mountain bikers and families.

Follow the 1 mile Wildlife Walk, the gradient is pretty steep here, to reach the ridgeway where you will find incredible trees growing out of hills at angles – the best climbing wall children could wish for! Nature is the best playground and ready made dens, hills, logs and climbing will keep little hands and feet entertained.

Don’t forget to bring the obligatory picnic and enjoy with views that are out of this world.
