Kennington bike track and playground

Kennington bike track and playground

Date of Adventure: 22 Oct, 2023

This looped bike track is awesome and although only about 100m or so, the undulations and speed you can get up to on it make it really exciting for little ones. But it’s not just for confident bikers, newbies and those needing to up their confidence can have a slow ride around before going up a gear. We’ve seen very young balance bikers, kids on scooters, bikes with stabilisers, BMX bikes, mountain bikes, the lot! All giving it a go with varying degrees of help from parents. My three love to whizz around the track on foot when we’re were the only ones there, usually with me in hot pursuit!

As well as the bike track there is a small playground with good play equipment, trees to climb and direct access to Bagley Woods over the footbridge. This is a great big or little adventure. Pack in the park, bike track and Bagley Woods for a whole day of fun or pick your favourite bit if you are under time constraints. Something for everyone!

Know?

Tracey Emin’s first British exhibition since 1997 was at Modern Art Oxford in 2002 and drew together the artist's now iconic neon wall hangings, drawings, etchings, film works, and a large scale sculpture installation of a pier and shack made from reclaimed timber.
