Upper Heyford Playground

Upper Heyford Playground

Date of Adventure: 2 Mar, 2024

This park has one heck of a climbing frame! We call it the adventure playground park – it has those kinda vibes.

The huge climbing frame is one of those that has bridges, climbing walls, tunnels, slides, fireman’s poles, a mini obstacle course, tyres, rope climbs – the whole shebang! There’s also a few tree houses at the park, swings, zip wire, bucket swings and stand up spinny things. Beware of this spinny thing – my children invited me on then proceeded to spin a billion miles and hour whist gravity tried to rip my eyeballs out. I thought I was going to vomit. This isn’t my first rodeo so I have no idea why I fell for this but I’m pre-warning you so you don’t!

Older children will appreciate the small basketball/ football area or they can break out into the huge green that the park is situated on. Good news for parents of runners too – this park is fenced and gated! Not saying that our little Houdini’s won’t outsmart the restrictions but it gives us a bit of time to get there at least.

I’ve been to this park about 5 times and only ever seen people there once – let’s give it the love it deserves!
