Watlington Circular

Watlington Circular

Date of Adventure: 2 Jun, 2024

It’s amazing the views on your doorstop!

This 4 mile Watlington circular walk starts off at Watlington recreation ground – a day out in itself with a brilliant playground, skatepark bowl and ramps – and takes in woodland, The Ridgeway, Oxfordshire Way and ancient paths. Remember to turn around and appreciate the views as you climb the Oxfordshire Way, and take in the views of Pyrton Hill. . There is a real differentiation in landscape for each section of the walk which made it interesting and feel much less that 4 miles.

Stop in at the Spire & Spoke on the way back, beloved by cyclists, walkers and locals, and take in the views as you tuck into wood fired pizzas and cakes.

Take a look at the link for easy to follow step-by-step instructions and other highlights of the Chilterns; of which there are many!
