It continues this weekend! To say thank you for the millions raised for good causes every week by players, National Lottery funded venues are offering free entry to most National Trust places, discounts and special offers throughout National Lottery Open Week. There’s loads nearby to Oxford and there’s a handy search tool on the website to find your nearest day out.
🔭ATOM Festival of Science and Technology 15th – 26th March
We posted about this last year week and it’s still going! There’s still spaces on the House of Fun ibrick sessions (booking required) on Saturday and the Hands on Planet family sessions on Sunday are just drop-in.

🥳The Weston Library 10th Birthday Weekend
Happy birthday Weston Library! The celebration includes lots for families to take part in: artwork, printing, embossing, trails, riddles, a book to take home and of course, The Toddleian, a space for the littlest visitors with a selection of books, toys, and a soft mat for babies.

🎂Indie Oxford Festival – celebrating 10 years
Another 10 year party! Indie Oxford has been such a stalwart in it’s support of independent businesses in Oxford – let’s support them right back! They’re throwing a huge party to celebrate and invite you to celebrate with them! Of course it’s at Tap Social and there’s a family vibe in the day and a DJ and shenanigans in the evening. Not many tickets left! Kids go free 12 pm – 8 pm, 18+ only from 8 pm. This is a not-for-profit event, with all proceeds from ticket sales going towards event costs to make this celebration happen!

🧭Thames Valley Orienteering at Hill End
Big fans of this Saturday series and easy access to orienteering for all the family. And of course you know that we love Hill End too. Short 2k route suitable for beginners and family groups. Heads up, we’ve come last pretty much every time we’ve done these races and nobody cares! Great fun for the kids.

🐏 Little Milton Spring Fayre
Sweet little Spring Fayre in Pine Lodge and playground area. Pony and lamb petting, crafts and activities, easter egg hunt in the field, children’s games, bouncy castle and more! Raising money for Little Milton School and Orchard Preschool.

🌿Spring Open Afternoon at Boundary Brook
Enjoy an afternoon of nature activities on the reserve amidst the beauty of spring. There’s all sort of nature activities and something for everyone to enjoy. All the events are free.

🪱Oxford City Farm Family Friendly Wormery
A fascinating composting and wormery session where you get to go home with your own batch of wrigglers to start up your own worm farm. Learn how to make a simple home for wiggly worm compost creators. Whilst making a mini wormery may not be our idea of fun, the children will LOVE it! Free, but with booking essential. This is part of Food Waste Action Week, the UK’s biggest annual food waste reduction campaign.

🐑Lambing at The Old Farm Shop
Spectacular event last weekend and it continues this weekend. Get up close and personal with the new born calves, piglets, goat kids and learn about their care PLUS tractors, combine harvester, falconry, bale play and inflatables.

💛Shotover House Daffodil Day
Once a year the gates of Shotover House open to the public! Wonderful to see so many families enjoying the glorious show of daffodils. All money raised is shared between local charities.

On again this weekend: visit the new born lambs and meet other animals too including ferrets, meerkats, pigs, rabbits, reptiles, aquatics, donkeys, horses and more! The farm shop will be open too.

Such a loved book from Julia Donaldson! This production is for Deaf and hearing family audiences with British Sign Language, creative captions and spoken English. Expect captivating puppetry; surprising smells and toe-tapping music in this inclusive and accessible performance.
🫖Story Museum: Story-themed teas 30th March
How sweet is this?! Story-themed teas in the Alice in Wonderland- themed room for Mother’s Day. The room is right next to the café and is as bonkers as anything you would imagine from Alice! Children very welcome!

A packed line-up with all your faves – for the bigs and the smalls. The children and young people’s programme is really strong this year and includes the first ever ever Phoenix and Oxford Literary Festival Comic Book Draw-Off.
