🐏Cotswold Farm Park – Mums go FREE (not many tickets left!)

Mums go FREE the whole weekend at Cotswold Farm Park – Saturday and Sunday! Live lambing and kidding and the opportunity to meet over 50 rare breeds. It’s a cracking day out and one that the whole family will love.

🐰Waterperry Gardens: The Big Bunny Hunt 

Find the carrots around the garden, each one has a letter written on them. Collect all the letters and unscramble to collect your prize!

📚Oxford Literary Festival: Super Happy Magic Forest

An interactive reading and drawing session with award winning author and illustrator Matty Long. Join a character draw-a-long, where children get the opportunity to personalise their very own characters. This and loads more on for kids at the festival. For ages 4+.

🍃Florence Park: Spring Awakening 

So much on at this spring celebration! Activities for children including a fire pit. There’s stalls selling children’s books and clothes, plants and seedlings, and items made by local makers. Dr Bike will also be attending to carry out free bicycle repairs and maintenance and there will be food and drink available too.

🔬History of Science Museum: How Does It Work  

Get hands-on with some of the collection and see how ingenious scientific devices work. There’s also family scavenger hunt trails and inclusive SEND-friendly Light and Space backpacks. Between 10.45 – 11.45 is a quieter, relaxed hour which gives families the chance to explore exhibits at their own pace. Email [email protected] to book your space.

🚌Oxford Bus Museum: FREE entry and cream tea for mum 

FREE entry, FREE cream tea and FREE heritage bus rides at 12.15pm and 2.15pm – all FREE for Mum! The museum houses a collection of historic buses, coaches and trams. Super fun and interesting for children too!

💛Waterperry Gardens: 50% off garden entrance fee for Mums 

We went to Waterperry last weekend and the daffodils are looking lovely! Lots of space to run around, including play equipment on the lawn. The Bug Easter Bunny Hunt starts on Saturday so there’s plenty to entertain the children too!

🫖Story Museum: Story-themed teas 

How sweet is this?! Story-themed teas in the Alice in Wonderland room for Mother’s Day. The room is right next to the café and is as bonkers as anything you would imagine from Alice! Children will LOVE this as much as us mums. It would be rude not to visit the galleries whilst you are there too!

📚Oxford Literary Festival: Goodnight, Starry Night: Bedtime Poems Inspired by Works of Art

We are HUGE fans of Joseph Coelho, he was children’s laureate between 2022 and 2024. He’ll be leading this session for 4 – 7 years old and be reading some cosy poems perfect for exploring sleep. There’s loads going on over the next few weeks for children at the Oxford Literary Festival – check out the whole programme here.
