📚The Story Museum: Half Price entry for World Book Day 

To celebrate World Book Day, The Story Museum invites you to come along dressed as your favourite character and enjoy half price entry to this most unusual museum. I can’t think of a better place to engage children in the joy of sharing books and stories! Such a great deal too, book to secure your spot!

🦖Museum of Natural History: Super Science Saturday

Hands-on activities to discover the secrets of prehistoric life and meet some of the historical figures that changed our understanding of the natural world forever. Find out what fossilised footprints can tell us about the dinosaur that made them, learn how to investigate a mystery fossil, take part in a dino dig or go on a museum tour to learn about Mary Anning and other trailblazing women in palaeontology.

🥽🎾The Big Open Weekend

You’ve probably seen this advertised through your school, it’s the annual Big Open Weekend full of sports and fitness fun for all to try for FREE! You can see what’s on through the links to each venue that’s participating. The Leys Pools, Barton Leisure Centre, Ferry Pool and Oxford Ice Rink (the taster sessions are already sold out for ice skating but watch for cancellations).

🪩Family Dance Party Kidlington 

Back due to popular demand, Body Politic have partnered once again with Dancin’ Oxford and The North Wall to bring you a special Family Dance Party in Kidlington featuring a live DJ, party games, bubbles and disco lights and more! Ticket includes a 45-minute fun and creative family workshop before the disco, led and facilitated by the dance artists & DJ team.

🦖Caper bookshop: Little Dinosaurs, Big Questions workshop with illustrator Yiting Lee 

Make a Diplo Dino Puppet from the book Little Dinosaurs, Big Feelings with illustrator Yiting Lee. Tackle some of life’s biggest questions with Diplo and his 10 dinosaur friends as they understand more about complex questions, including:- Does it hurt the grass when I chomp it?- Is it ever good to lie?- Why do bad things happen?- What is fairness? I LOVE stuff like this! I feel like up grown-ups need some answers from Diplo too!

🐏Oxford City Farm: Family Friendly Day

It’s a sunny weekend so time to visit the farm! There are chickens and goats and sheep. There’s also an area for free play and much to learn about farm to fork in the vegetable patch. Bring your bags and pick something up at the produce stall or grab some tea and cake at the café. Community farming – we love you!

🏠 Kingston Bagpuize House 

Spring blossoms, blooming borders and green green grass. Tea and refreshments available…and it’s all homemade! This is in your Gardeners’ World 2 for 1 offer so do bring your card along. On a sunny day there really is no better place to be. Children very, very welcome (we’ve tested the water for you!)

🏃🏽‍♂️Florence Park Junior Park Run 

Dust off the runners and let’s get moving! Junior Parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors (4 to 14 year olds) every Sunday at 9am. Love the Parkrun community! Remember to register as no barcode, no result! There’s also one at Harcourt Hill every week at the same time.

Oxford City Farm Family Friendly Wormery 22nd March 

OK, whilst making a mini wormery may not be our idea of fun, the children will LOVE it! Free, but with booking essential. This is part of Food Waste Action Week, the UK’s biggest annual food waste reduction campaign.

Spring Open Afternoon at Boundary Brook 22nd March 

Enjoy an afternoon of nature activities on the reserve amidst the beauty of spring. There’s all sort sof nature activities and something for everyone to enjoy. All the events are free.

Earth Trust Orienteering Adventures 10th April

BOOK THIS NOW! TOTALLY FREE! This is a very special free event at Wallingford Castle Meadows. Join the Earth Trust education team for fun and adventures as you make your way around the orienteering trail through the wildflower-filled floodplain meadows. Discover stories of Alfred the Great, Viking invasions, William the Conqueror, and more at historic markers along the way.

McDonald’s Fun Football sessions April 26th – 12th July 

Booking is now open for the McDonald Fun Football sessions at Oxford City FC. Totally free and a great opportunity for kids to learn new skills, have fun and make friends. Delivered by FA qualified coaches. For ages 5 – 11.

🧒🏽BabyLab Toddler Play Café

 A free 2.5-hour stay & play session with your toddler and the chance to meet other parents, grab a cuppa and take part in a fun study on child development! Lots of dates on the website, the weekend ones go the quickest so book your spot today!
