Cotswold Sculpture Park

Cotswold Sculpture Park

Date of Adventure: 1 Apr, 2024

This place is WILD and a hidden gem in the Cotswolds!

Over 170 sculptures in this outdoor gallery ranging in price from hundreds to the POA (serious money!), and everything in between! It’s quite something to view so many scattered over 10 acres of mixed woodland with ponds, gardens and glades. Some are part of the landscape and are harder to spot, whilst other declare their presence in the most breathtaking way!

As you walk around admiring each sculpture you can access more information about each piece via a QR code or just read the information booklet given to you at the ticket office, which includes the prices. My boys were blown away by the experience, especially the 12 foot polar bear, piranha and life-sized warhorse. I was rather taken with the woman basking in the sun. It’s just all so clever and creative! As you follow the winding paths, be sure to take a second look at things as they aren’t always what they seem…

I know I always go on about this but I’m going to say it again: this is for everyone. We don’t own art, I have no idea about art, I don’t discuss art or artists with people and I’m not an ‘arty’ person. It doesn’t matter. We LOVED it. We weren’t outsiders and we didn’t stick out, we were one of many many families there enjoying new surprises hidden around every corner.

We love the quirky, the weird and the wonderful and this ticks all the boxes, tell your friends and family as they will love it too.
