Little Oxplorers

Let me introduce myself

My love of adventures started young when myself, my sister, an army of cousins and Harry the sheepdog used to roam my grandparents farmland in rural Tipperary, returning home in time for dinner with rosy cheeks and scraped knees after an exhilarating day exploring. These experiences gave me the confidence to search for bigger adventures, as well as igniting a deep love for nature which I still have to this day.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world in search of adventure and have climbed mountains, jumped out of planes, hiked glaciers and navigated mind-boggling landscapes. But my biggest adventure so far has been raising three boys. And with all adventures, it has had some unexpected twists and turns.

Ten years of parenting has taught me that you don’t have to sit still just because your brood grows, you’ve just got to get everyone out the door – this is often the hardest part! I started Little Oxplorers to share our love for adventures and find a like-minded community. And guess what? They are right here in front of you.

Keep adventuring.

My Vision

This is just the beginning.

I want to support outdoor and physical activity in local communities across Oxford and beyond. We have some big plans to put into action so watch this space!

Fancy buying me a ko-fi?

Want to support my work?

Feel free to buy me a (strong!) coffee, it will help fuel my adventures near and far. Support can come in many form though: sharing my website in your school WhatsApp group or liking a Facebook post is equally appreciated.

Work with us

Partner with Little Oxplorers

We love sharing places, events and experiences that genuinely work for family life – the hidden gems, the old favourites and the unexpectedly brilliant days out.

Over the years, Little Oxplorers has grown into a trusted go-to for thousands of local families looking for inspiration, ideas and adventures outdoors – we have become an important part of Oxford family’s infrastructure.  Everything we share is carefully curated and rooted in honest, first-hand experiences from our own family.

If you’d like to work with us, we offer paid partnerships across our website, Facebook and email newsletter. Whether you’re promoting an event, launching something new or looking to reach local families more regularly, we’d love to hear from you.

We also know family life doesn’t always run smoothly, so opportunities to visit and review places are always subject to school runs, family schedules and the occasional snotty nose.

To request our 2026 rate card and media pack, drop us an email at [email protected].

Bespoke partnerships

Every business and event is different, so we also offer tailored packages depending on what you’re looking for – from one-off features to longer-term collaborations across multiple channels.

Buy us a brew

We know that community groups, schools and councils don’t always have budgets for advertising free events and local initiatives. Please do keep sending us your news and, if you’d like to support what we do, you can always buy the team a coffee. We’ll always do our best to support local causes where we can.

Support our mission

Little Oxplorers has always been about helping families get out and explore together. Longer term, we’d also love for this platform to help support local charities and community projects too. Working with us helps make that possible.
