Besselsleigh Christmas lights

Besselsleigh Christmas lights

Date of Adventure: 16 Oct, 2022

Every Christmas the teeny tiny village of Besselsleigh goes Christmas light bonkers for charity. It’s like a Christmas drive-thru of dreams as every house on either side of the road presses the switch on some serious Christmas lights. You can also walk through, but do put everyone in hi-viz get up though so they can be seen. An absolute gem  – I have no idea who came up with the idea of dressing this road up like a Christmas tree but we are here for it every year!

Don’t forget to bring some change for the charity box, you’ll see it lit up on the way round. This little village raises huge amounts for the Oxfordshire Homeless Movement.

It’s just up the road from Appleton Christmas Barn – team with a visit there for maximum Christmas vibes!

Know?

Kingston Bagpuize Millennium Green was bought by the Kingston Bagpuize Millennium Trust using National Lottery money, and is run by volunteers from the village. It will never be built on, the village owns it forever and will keep on using it as a sanctuary for all.
