Farmer Gow’s

Farmer Gow’s

Date of Adventure: 4 Mar, 2026

Farmer Gow’s is such a tick box if you have children. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been with their crew either on school trips or a weekend jaunt.

Spring is peak visiting time when the lambs are born and lamb cuddles are available from Thursday – Sunday throughout February and March. Meet the animal experiences are also included in your day ticket and includes the opportunity to pet piglets, chicks and meet the young heifers. In May and June the Meet the Animals experience also includes the opportunity to bottle feed goat kids, handle tiny chicks, meet and feed ewes and lambs, pigs, calves, enjoy collect freshly laid chicken eggs.

There’s been a massive glow-up to the farm of late with a super tree climbing wall, interactive animal wall and towers with slide. The giant Bale Climb has been rebuilt too with 140′ of tunnels and treasure hunt. New in the playground are talking tubes with sensory musical chimes, forest poles and tractor wheel. There’s also a new big blue wooden tractor 🚜

Included in your tickets are meet the animal experience where you get to pet piglets, chicks and meet the young heifers.

You can easily spend the whole day there there’s so much to do.

Rear of The Victoria Arms leading to the river

Did you

Know?

Oxford Preservation Trust bought the Victoria Arms pub in 1959 to save the nearly derelict building. Now fully renovated, this rural gem re-opened in 1984. It's still standing proud and serving Oxford’s pub-goers every day!

Fancy buying me a ko-fi?

Want to support my work?

Feel free to buy me a (strong!) coffee, it will help fuel my adventures near and far. Support can come in many form though: sharing my website in your school WhatsApp group or liking a Facebook post is equally appreciated.
