Oxford City Farm

Oxford City Farm

Date of Adventure: 22 Jul, 2023

Oxford City Farm is a 2.3 acre working farm and charity in East Oxford and it does so much good work in the local community to provide opportunities for children and adults of all ages and backgrounds to engage with farming and food production, animals, nature and each other. You can get up close to the animals and feed them, including sheep, goats, chicks, hens and bunnies. They also have play equipment for little ones: a two storey playhouse, play kitchen and various trikes and bikes, and a really cool tractor which was built by one of the volunteers! There’s a vegetable garden as well, which is being harvested weekly and sold at their Farmer’s Market every Saturday at the farm.

If you have never visited before then you may be surprised at the breadth of opportunities on offer from community workshops to supported volunteering farm nurture sessions and education sessions for school children which follow the environmental school curriculum.

They have family friendly days every Saturday and open days on Fridays plus community events too. Stay in the know by checking their events page for up to date info.
