Valley Farm Pizza and FarmBox Burger

Valley Farm Pizza and FarmBox Burger

Date of Adventure: 8 Apr, 2025

We were let into this secret by friends in the know…now we are sharing it with you!

At a gorgeous little campsite in Farmoor – Valley Farm Camping – are two amazing places selling pizzas and burgers: FarmBox Burger and Valley Farm Pizza. Our friends had been previously and were really hyping it up and, as a pizza aficionado, I felt it my duty to check it out.

Woah! Even driving up, it has some sort of mini festival vibe! We went on the bank holiday weekend and there were loads of campers in the fields and the low setting sun made it all seem rather idyllic!

There are tables to sit at on the lawn and children can brush the donkeys or meet the rescue sheep or super friendly Bengal cat whilst you wait for your food.

The pizzas? Seriously good: wood-fired, fresh and very tasty. I could have eaten three all to myself. The milkshakes are absolutely ridiculous too – order them at the same time but treat them like a desert, they are so filling. We’ve been back for the burgers and they were everything a good burger should be – cooked just as you like it – and with crispy chips.

You have to pre-order your food via the website – this is very important if you don’t want a car full of hangry people – as this place is POPULAR! We finished all our pizzas and tried to order more but they were sold out with pre-orders.

Sit in or takeaway, get yourself down there and fill up!

Like this alfresco easy dining? This pizza place in a vineyard with playground may appeal – another Oxford hidden gem!

Did you

Know?

Tracey Emin’s first British exhibition since 1997 was at Modern Art Oxford in 2002 and drew together the artist's now iconic neon wall hangings, drawings, etchings, film works, and a large scale sculpture installation of a pier and shack made from reclaimed timber.
