Albion Fields – Oxfordshire’s Sculpture Park

Albion Fields – Oxfordshire’s Sculpture Park

Date of Adventure: 28 Jul, 2023

Set in 50 acres of countryside, Albion Fields sculpture park is something of a ‘green gallery’ and filled with both monumental and discreet artworks from established and emerging artists. We love visiting and enjoy following the map and winding in and out of mown paths and woodland – as some of the sculptures aren’t obvious to the naked eye, surprises lie around every corner! Cameras at the ready as there are so many quality photo opps.

The sculptures are just so interesting, children and adults will really have their minds opened and stretched by them: upside down houses, pebble rivers, huge metal spirals and other sculptures that your brain will take a moment to process!

Tag on a visit to Little Milton playground after, it’s about a minute’s drive away, and has a little shop and café too, or visit the beautiful poppy field across the road from the playground.

Rear of The Victoria Arms leading to the river

Did you

Know?

Oxford Preservation Trust bought the Victoria Arms pub in 1959 to save the nearly derelict building. Now fully renovated, this rural gem re-opened in 1984. It's still standing proud and serving Oxford’s pub-goers every day!

Fancy buying me a ko-fi?

Want to support my work?

Feel free to buy me a (strong!) coffee, it will help fuel my adventures near and far. Support can come in many form though: sharing my website in your school WhatsApp group or liking a Facebook post is equally appreciated.
