🐰 Evenley Wood Gardens: The Guardians of Spring Trail
Evenley Woods Gardens always go all out for their seasonal trails – so imaginative! The Guardians have been resting all winter, and now they need your help to wake the garden and begin a brand‑new spring. Collect your trail sheet at the entrance, then follow the hares as they guide you along meandering paths and lakeside views to a series of interactive spring‑starting stations.

🐥Waddesdon Manor: Easter adventures
Lots included with entry: Actual Reality Arcade – a life-sized interactive game zone – and the Zoolab Trail. There’s also a paid trail with a chocolate easter egg at the end. The Easter trail runs Saturday 28th – Sunday 29th March and Wednesday 1st – Monday 6th April, Actual Reality Arcade runs Wednesday 8th – Sunday 12th April. Waddesdon is open Wednesday – Sunday. Don’t forget that the playground is currently closed for refurbishment.

🐰Waterperry Gardens: Big Easter Bunny Hunt
Join the Big Easter Bunny Hunt, a lovely jaunt around the ornamental gardens spotting carrots as you go. Return to the café with their location marked on your map and word unscrambled to claim your prize. The playground just beyond the café is worth a visit after, as is the Waterperry to Waterstock walk.

🥚The Covered Market: The Great Covered Market Easter Egg Hunt
Hunt out pictures of eggs with letters in them inside or outside participating market shops. For each letter spotted, show the trader in that shop and they’ll stamp your card. Find all the letters on the card and then hand your card back in and be entered into the grand prize draw. Collect your card from iScream, Wicked Chocolate or The Garden.

🐣High Lodge Farm: Easter Trail
The usual fun from High Lodge Farm trails! Your ticket includes LOADS: woodland trail and activity sheet, Play Patch access with garden games, sandpit, straw bales, farm tractor, ride-on toys, mud kitchen and lots more! Barrel train rides around the farm are extra (£3pp). SEND sessions too.

🐑 Cogges: Easter Fun at Cogges Manor
Love a farm visit in spring! See the farmyard animals, sheep and goats, ponies, lambs, chickens, ducks and turkeys, including many rare breeds. Follow the hidden fairy door trail and go on a fun egg hunt in the straw! 📚 The Story Museum: Spring has Sprung trail
Galleries, Small Worlds, half term activities and events – particularly excited for the ‘Spring has Sprung’ trail – free with your ticket. Stepping into a book at The Story Museum is such a unique experience. And it’s open every day in the school holidays!

This extraordinary and inclusive place is for children for all abilities and disabilities. Check the online calendar to see who each day is for and what’s on and book in. As well as loads of activities (the theme is fables and fiction) there’s also the huge bouncy pillow, soft play, dino area, splash pad, bikes and bike track, sensory and construction rooms and more! And if you fancy glamping there are even glamping pods too!

🐇 Oxford Sightseeing Tour Bus : Easter Bunny Hop trail
Have you ever been on the Oxford Sightseeing Tour? It’s the open top double decker that you see around town. I’ve never been on it but my boys have with school and are obsessed with it. This Easter they have a Bunny Hop Trail: join a quest to spot the six elusive bunnies playing hide and seek throughout Oxford. Explore the sights of Oxford while you search the Easter bunnies who have hopped off to different locations around the city. Trail free for anyone on a bus tour.

🐲Oxford Castle and Prison: Adopt a dragon
Young adventurers and their adults are invited to join the Dragon Masters for an imaginative family experience where children can learn about Oxford’s dragon lore, decorate their own dragon egg, design a cosy nest and ultimately adopt a soft‑toy dragon to take home complete with an official adoption certificate.

🥚Oxford Preservation Trust: Easter Egg Hunt
There’s TWO Easter Egg Hunt on Oxford Preservation Trust properties: Abraham Wood and Larkins Lane Field. Find the wooden eggs, spot the letters and unscramble the words! If you visit town over the holidays you can claim your prize from the OPT offices.

🌈Ashmolean Museum: Create a colour book

🐏Oxford City Farm: Family Friendly Day
Get your wellies on and get down to the farm to see the animals – including the new lambs and kids, plus the chickens, pigs, goats and sheep. There’s also an area for free play and much to learn about farm to fork in the vegetable patch. Community farming at it’s best!

🚂Cutteslowe Miniature Railway
A lovely miniature railway experience and great value for money too. There is SO much to do at Cutteslowe park: numerous playgrounds, huge sandpit, free splash park (now open!), crazy golf, tennis courts, wildlife area, duck pond, beach volleyball court, café and more! It’s easily a whole day adventure!

🚂 Pendon Museum: Junior Model Making
The Pendon Museum is such an interesting place! It’s a glimpse of rural life through extraordinary display scale models and large scenes of the rural countryside. We absolutely love following the railway around; especially as it passes so many places that we recognise! This hands-on model-making session (11am – 3.30pm) is run by expert modellers who create and maintain Pendon’s world-famous models. Each participant will work on their own small diorama to take home.

🌺Museum of Oxford: Tudor flower painting

🏠Bekonscot Model Village
Have you booked your ticket to the world’s oldest model village? It re-opened this weekend for the season and is the perfect half-term outing! ! So quaint, and the perfect place for the little ones to feel like giants. There’s lots going on over the easter holidays including an Easter egg trail around the village, egg decorating crafts Tuesday – Thursday and children’s entertainer Professor Crump is making a return over the Easter weekend (from the 3rd – 6th April).

What’s spring without a trip to the farm! Farmer Gow’s has had a huge glow-up with new playground and hay bale maze in the barn. They have their usual animal meets included in the price (twice a day) and they are also offering lamb cuddles too plus the chick barn is very busy with new arrivals . If you are an Oxfordshire parent then chances are you have been or your child has been there on a school trip – it’s defo worth a re-visit.

The iconic Brill Windmill will be opening for the first time this season. Sails will be turned at 12:15 followed by the opening of the Windmill to the public at 12:30. Team with a visit to Brill playground.

🥕Sandy Lane Farm
A proper working farm with such a colourful farm shop. On Thursday – Saturday you can visit the farm, take a peek at the pigs and the horses and grab yourself a proper coffee (and cake!) from the coffee van they have. Perfect if you are looking for a low key, short outing rather than a proper ‘day out’. Great park around the corner too.

🐑 Bishop’s Court Farm Lambing
Annual lambing day! Visit the Maternity Ward, meet farm animals (including Al Capone the alpaca), and maybe even see a lamb being born. Lots of fun for all ages with lamb petting opportunities, treasure hunt, bouncy castle, country market, live lambing feed, and delicious food & drinks.

🧭 Thames Valley Orienteering Club Saturday Series: Cutteslowe Park
Big fans of this Saturday series and easy access to orienteering for all the family. Short 1.6k route suitable for beginners and family groups. Worth a try if you haven’t given it a go before!

🔬Science Oxford: Family Day
The UK’s first indoor-outdoor primary science education centre with a hands-on Exploration Zone and 15 acres of woodland and ponds. This is STEM on another level and the fun factor is off the wall! We’ve been here so many times for school trips and days out and there is always something new to learn.

A ‘hip-hopping, toe-tapping’ daytime disco for all of the family. Featuring bubbles and balloons, movement activities and dance games, sensory play and face painting! With DJs playing party classics, for you and your little ones.

🍃Nature Day at Kate’s Place
A chance to connect with nature with activities such as seed planting, painting, cooking on the open fire and a chance to spot activity in the busy wildlife pond. It’s free to attend and everyone is welcome. A great way to enjoy spring!

🐷 The Wild Pig
Sweet little farm and farm shop. Previously the Crazy Bear. Pigs (and usually cute piglets!), goats (including scary eyes), llamas (very rude) and sheep. You can walk from here through a little woodland (with so many fairy doors!) and then onto the Stadhampton playground. Easily half a day adventure. Do visit the Farm Shop and buy something if you can, it helps keep the little farm open and free.
